Ambassadors

The Queensland Plan Ambassadors Council fosters community engagement and shared responsibility for achieving the long term vision and goals of The Queensland Plan. The Council serve as champions of the plan, ensuring its visibility and encouraging government, industry, business, community organisations and the general public to continue to strive towards its vision and goals.

Responsibilities

The Ambassadors represent a range of sectors and regions and are focussed on delivery, accountability and innovation.

Their three roles are:

  • Advocacy—linking government, business, industry and community sectors.
  • Independent advice—relating to delivery of community vision and contributing expertise.
  • Leadership, collaboration and review—including community engagement.

Membership

The Ambassadors Council is comprised of up to 15 community members who are appointed for a period of up to five years.

Membership is reviewed on a regular basis to ensure appropriate representation is achieved.
